Well here it is. The Canadian dollar back to where we have not seen it in years. What does that mean for those of you who are paid in US dollars, it means we are on sale!

As you compare other U.S. resort real estate prices and the realization in some cases we are priced the same, but now reduce the price by 20 – 30 % because of the exchange rate, you may have that “ah-ha” moment!

  • $400,000 condominium in Whistler Village = USD $307,000*
  • $1,200,000 ski-in ski-out townhome = USD $928,129*
  • $2,500,000 home in Nicklaus North on the golf course = USD $1,919,000*

As per May 28, 2016 exchange rates

Some of my recent clients have said that they are not buying for extensive use today, but with the current exchange rate, they feel that the Canadian economy is a safe place to invest. Most know that in years to come they will have more of an opportunity to use the property.
